Birds of Belize

Belize is a favourite birding destination in Central America, and although it is a small country, has a diverse range of ecosystems including savannahs, rainforests, riparian zones, broadleaf forests, pine forests, and coasts. Highlights in Belize include the jabiru stork (the largest bird in the western hemisphere) as well as rare raptors such as the harpy eagle and ornate hawk eagle.
